About the Programme

This programme prepares students for the exciting world of accounting and finance. Students will not only learn the technical aspects of this discipline but be exposed to the latest development in this field of study brought about by globalisation and the 4th Industrial Revolution. The programme is also designed to focus on the application of knowledge to practical scenarios that mirror those in industry. Students will also undergo workplace experiential learning during an internship with a commercial firm during the industrial training module of this programme. Hence, upon completion of this programme, graduates should be well equipped to excel in this field and/or to pursue a professional accounting qualification.

Students who graduate from this programme will get exemption from 9 modules when they enrol for the ACCA programme and hence only have to study the last 4 modules to graduate.

Entry Requirements
Into Year 1
A-Levels: Minimum pass in any two subjects, and a pass in Mathematics and English O-Levels/equivalent
or
STPM or any equivalent qualification: Pass with a minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any two subjects, and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level/equivalent
or
Foundation or any equivalent qualification: Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level/equivalent
or
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): Pass with a minimum B in 5 subjects, including Mathematics and pass in English

Into Year 2
Diploma in Accounting or related field, or its equivalent: Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level/equivalent
or
Diploma in Accountancy / Diploma in Business from Imperium International College: Pass with a minimum CGPA 2.50, and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level/equivalent
or
Any other equivalent Diploma
(Note: For non-IIC diploma programmes, the entry into year 2 will depend on the number of exemptions granted)
