The Certificate in Tourism Operation equips students with the essential learning and fundamental skills needed to step into further studies of the dynamic international hospitality industry of today. The program covers both practical and theoretical aspects by combining both classroom learning and industry placement to prepare those who intend to continue their education or join the work force. This program will involve students in the context of travel-related business, such as marketing, travel operations, tour conducting, computer reservation skills, customer service approaches and more. Special emphasis is placed on the development of interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills. Graduates would have developed a mature understanding of their field through lectures, class discussions, case studies, field trips as well as industrial attachments. Assessment and Examination
Students are evaluated through 60% coursework of practical and theoretical assessments (quizzes, projects, topic reviews, practical assessments, assignments and presentations) and 40% examination that also based on either a practical or theoretical examination at the end of each course. The completion certificate awarded will show a combined CGPA and grade.
