The Biology Direct Transfer Agreement degree consists of a minimum of 98.5 quarter credits earned in General Requirements, Distribution Requirements and Electives. This pathway is applicable to students planning to prepare for upper division Bachelor’s degree majors in Biology and is designed for students wishing to transfer to Central Washington University, Eastern Washington University, The Evergreen State College, University of Washington, Washington State University, Western Washington University, Saint Martin’s University, Seattle University, and Whitworth University.

Admission requirements

Minimum age requirement - Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Applicants who are 15 years old will be accepted if they have completed high school or equivalent studies. 

Language requirements

An English proficiency exam score (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) is not required for admission. However, students who submit TOEFL IBT 54 / IELTS 5.0 or equivalent will not have to take Intensive ESL classes.

This pathway is applicable to students planning to prepare for upper division bachelor’s degree majors in biology and is designed for students wishing to transfer to Central Washington University, Eastern Washington University, The Evergreen State College, University of Washington, Washington State University,Western Washington University, Saint Martin’s University, Seattle University, and Whitworth University. Meeting the requirements to graduate with an Edmonds CC certificate or degree is the responsibility of the student.

Transferring to Another University or College

• Admission application deadlines vary, students must meet the deadline for the university or college to which they plan to apply for admission to transfer.
• Consultation with the appropriate department or an advisor at the intended transfer school is highly recommended.

Depending on the type of biology degree and long term academic goals, some students may be best advised to complete the Associate in Science Track 1 degree instead of this Associate in Biology. Consult with a faculty adviser to determine which degree best suites your goals.
